Crest Whitening Strips Directions

Several teeth-whitening kits are available at a fraction of the cost of a professional whitening. For example, Crest whitening strips can brighten your teeth if you use it consistently, and it is safe to use when the kit's directions are closely followed. Whitening strips work by covering the teeth with a thin film coated in peroxide, which safely bleaches unwanted stains.

      Open the kit. Tear open the "Upper" packet. Remove the strip. Gently pull the zigzag slit to remove the strip from the paper.

      Place the strip on the front of your upper teeth. Push the strip against your teeth until the top of the strip lines up to your gum line. Fold the bottom of the strip so that it touches the back of your teeth.

      Leave the whitening strip on your upper teeth for 30 minutes. Gently peel off the strip after the recommended time, and discard of the strip in the trash. Use all of the strips for your upper teeth in the kit before whitening your bottom teeth.

      Brush your teeth gently to remove the gel residue left by the strips. Spit the water and residue out into the sink.

      Whiten your bottom teeth. Remove the strip from the "Bottom" packet, and remove the paper backing from the film. Align the strip with your bottom gum line, and fold the strip to touch the opposite side of the teeth.

      Press the strips to ensure they are firmly pressed against your teeth, and leave them on for 30 minutes. Remove the strips from your teeth, and throw them in the trash. Rinse or brush your teeth to remove the whitening residue.

      Apply the whitening strips in the morning and evening every day.
