These toothpastes work just like regular toothpastes but are different because they contain higher levels of peroxide. Apply a little paste to a toothbrush and then brush your teeth for two minutes. You can brush your teeth multiple times a day with this product to get your teeth whiter.

  Apply teeth-whitening strips. These thin, invisible strips attach to the fronts of the lower and upper teeth. The strips contain peroxide for bleaching. Leave the strips on for one to two hours. Some strips allow a person to eat and drink while wearing them. Whitening strips should be used once a day in conjunction with other methods of teeth whitening. Use the strips at a convenient time, such as on the commute to or from work, after dinner or during the work day when you don't have meetings.

  Paint on some teeth-whitening gel. Paint the gel on each tooth using the small brush that comes with the gel. Use the gel at home when you have the time to apply it, and use it once a day in addition to using other teeth-whitening methods. This method is less effective at whitening and also more time consuming. Also, some people find the taste of the gel unpleasant.

  Use a mouth guard kit with the ADA seal of approval. Wear the mouth guard filled with whitening gel to remove stains from the teeth. After making a mold of your teeth, fill the mouth guard with whitening gel and place it over your teeth. Most brands recommend that you wear the mouth guard for one to two hours, but some brands recommend that you wear the mouth guard overnight. Use the mouth guard in the late evening as one of the ways to whiten your teeth.
