How to Whiten Your Gums

1
Find a dentist or oral surgeon who offers gum-bleaching treatments, as not all dentists may offer this service. If your regular dentist does not offer this treatment, ask whether she could refer to one who does.
-
2
Schedule a consultation with a dentist about bleaching your gums. He will explain the procedure thoroughly. Gum-bleaching procedures are typically outpatient procedures that take one or two hours followed by a little recovery time. You may face some sensitivity after bleaching, but there are no other reported side effects. You can eat and drink as you normally would immediately after the gum-bleaching treatment.

3
Schedule a follow-up visit for after the procedure. Some dentists who perform this procedure would like to see the patient again. Speak with your dentist about when you should return for a checkup.
