Directions for Whitestrips Premium

Whitestrips Premium are tooth-whitening strips made by Crest. According to Crest, the "Premium" line is now labeled as "3D White Whitestrips Advanced Vivid." The strips have a gel substance that, over time, removes stains from the tooth surfaces. According to Crest, these particular strips begin to show whitening results in three days. Proper application is important to get the best results and to prevent irritation.

  Remove one of the Whitestrips packets from the box. Pull open the foil patch to reveal the strips.

  Peel the strip for the top teeth (the longer strip) from the backing that keeps the gel in place while in the packaging.

  Hold the strip so the gel side is facing you. Carefully align the strip with your top row of teeth so that the top of the strip ends where the gumline meets the top of the teeth.

  Gently press the strip into place on your teeth. Open your mouth wider and fold the bottom of the strip behind the bottom of the teeth if there is excess strip.

  Peel off the bottom strip from the backing and hold it with the gel facing you. Align it with the bottom row of your teeth with the bottom of the strip meeting the gumline.

  Gently press the gel side of the strip onto the bottom teeth. Fold over the top of the strip so it goes behind the top of the teeth if there is excess strip.

  Leave the strips in place for 30 minutes. Gently peel them off after 30 minutes and rinse your mouth with water if needed to remove excess gel.
