Removing Denture Stains

Dentures, just like teeth, will stain over time. With good maintenance, such as frequent brushing, the dentures should retain their original color. However, they may get stains. Popular teeth-whitening systems such as white strips or whitening toothpaste will not work on dentures. Those products contain bleach, which penetrates tooth enamel but cannot penetrate denture material. It is important to note that the dentures cannot become whiter than their original color.
