The Instructions for Opalescence Treswhite Supreme

For some people, whitening stained teeth is not an option due to extreme sensitivity. Often triggered by exposure to bleaching agents, even mild sensitivity can be a barrier to both in-office and at-home whitening. To address this issue, dentists will often prescribe an application of potassium nitrate before or after whitening procedures. Opalescence Trèswhite Supreme includes trays with whitening gel and potassium nitrate to reduce sensitivity. The green outer trays have a tab to aid with insertion and positioning and the prefilled inner trays eliminate messy syringes.

Instructions

    • 1

Remove both upper and lower Opalescence trays from the refrigerator and allow them to warm to room temperature.

    • 2

Pick up the upper bleaching trays marked with a "U" by the green plastic tab. Insert them into your mouth, centering over your front teeth.

    • 3

Close your lips and suck down to separate the clear inner tray from the green outer tray. Remove the outer tray and set it aside.

    • 4

Gently tap the clear tray to make sure it is securely in place, then repeat the process with the bottom whitening trays.

    • 5

Leave the trays in for 30 to 60 minutes each day, for at least a week to see results. When the allotted time is up, remove the trays and brush your teeth with your regular toothpaste.
