How to a Toothache
A toothache can be an extremely painful experience, but there a number of things you can do to help alleviate the pain and discomfort.
1. Take an over-the-counter pain reliever such as ibuprofen or acetaminophen. These medications can help to reduce inflammation and pain.
2. Apply a cold compress to the outside of your cheek or jaw. The cold will help to numb the pain and reduce swelling.
3. Rinse your mouth with warm salt water. This can help to clean the area around the affected tooth and reduce inflammation.
4. Avoid chewing on the side of your mouth with the toothache. This can put pressure on the tooth and increase the pain.
5. If the toothache is severe or does not go away after a few days, see your dentist. They can determine the cause of the toothache and recommend the best treatment option.
