Does it always swell a lot when you get wisdom teeth pulled?
Generally, wisdom teeth that are impacted or that require extensive surgery to remove are more likely to cause swelling. Additionally, people who have weakened immune systems or certain medical conditions may experience more severe swelling.
Swelling typically peaks within the first 48 to 72 hours after surgery and then gradually subsides over the next few days or weeks. To help reduce swelling, your dentist may recommend ice packs, pain medication, and elevation of your head.
