1
Floss twice each day to remove any bacteria or food particles that may be trapped between teeth.
-
2
Rinse your mouth with 3% hydrogen peroxide solution twice each day to disinfect any open wounds in your mouth. Swish the peroxide thoroughly around your mouth for 30 seconds before spitting out. Do not swallow the peroxide. Rinse your mouth with water several times afterward to remove any peroxide residue.

3
Chew several cloves on the side of your mouth that has the toothache. You do not need to completely macerate the cloves. Simply, break apart the cloves so that they begin to release their juices. Allow the cloves to remain in your cheek, next to your teeth, for 30 minutes.

4
Cut a thin slice of garlic and place it directly on the tooth that hurts. Allow the garlic to remain in place for 30 minutes. The garlic has antibiotic properties, which may be helpful in soothing your toothache.

5
Saturate a cotton ball in tea tree oil and press the ball against your tooth. Be careful not to swallow the oil. Tea tree oil is a powerful antiseptic and antibacterial that will help to kill the bacteria on your tooth.

Wrap several ice cubes in a small facecloth. Apply the ice to your cheek on the side of your face that is in pain. Hold the ice in place for about 10 minutes, twice each day. The ice will help to numb and relieve the pain.
