Quick Way to Relieve Toothache
A toothache is a pain that comes directly from, or the area surrounding, a tooth. According to William H. Smith, author of "The Ultimate Toothache Remedy," the most common causes of toothaches are cavities, gum disease, wisdom teeth emerging, cracks or chips on the tooth's surface or infection. The pain caused by a toothache can make speaking, drinking, eating and sleeping difficult. Using a simple home treatment, you can alleviate toothache pain and go on with your day.Things You'll Need

Brush your teeth thoroughly to remove any built up bacteria, plague and food particles. According to D.P. Brown, author of "Natural Home Toothache Remedies That Work", bacteria causes cavities and infections to hurt worse.

2
Rinse your mouth with mouthwash. Be sure to swish it in between your teeth, focusing on the area of the toothache.
-
3
Combine 1 teaspoon of water with 1 teaspoon of clove oil in a small cup. Mix thoroughly, as pure clove oil is not safe for direct application.
-
4
Soak a cotton ball in the clove oil and water mixture.
-
5
Press the soaked cotton ball onto the area ailing you. Hold it there for at least five minutes, or until the pain dissipates.
-
