Eat all the vegetables that the Atkins diet allows. Induction, the most carbohydrate-restricted phase of the diet, allows several cups of vegetables a day. If you eat all your veggies, you're much less likely to be constipated.

Drink all the water that the diet recommends. Atkins recommends at least eight 8-ounce glasses of water daily. Staying hydrated increases your chances of avoiding constipation.

Consider a sugar-free natural laxative, such as psyllium or ground flax seed husks, and follow the instructions on the label. If constipation persists, consult a doctor.
