What causes growth on Adams apple?
An abnormally large Adam's apple, known medically as thyromegaly, can result from excessive growth of the thyroid gland. This enlargement can be caused by hyperthyroidism, a condition where the thyroid gland produces too much thyroid hormone. Goiter, a condition characterized by an enlargement of the thyroid gland, can also lead to an abnormally large Adam's apple. Additionally, certain tumors, such as thyroid nodules or goiters, can cause growth in the Adam's apple area.
