Functions and Side Effects

Although it has not been approved as a weight loss supplement, clenbuterol is being used in the United States for that purpose---mainly by athletes and bodybuilders, since it can be as easy as steroids to come across.
Clenbuterol has properties that have been linked to weight loss, as it raises both the heart rate and body temperature, which lead to more calories being burned each hour. It is extremely important to take the correct dosage for your gender and weight when taking clenbuterol for weight loss.
Side effects of taking clenbuterol for weight loss can be significant in both neurological and cardiovascular systems. There are few studies in regard to side effects in humans because the drug is used only for horses in the United States; however, there are reported side effects from illegal users. A common side effect with other weight loss supplements has also been reported with clenbuterol: immunity to the drug. After prolonged usage, people can build a tolerance to the drug and thus in the end gain the weight back. Headaches and hot flashes are also reported side effects of taking clenbuterol for weight loss. Other reported side effects but not proven to be directly from clenbuterol are a dangerous heart rhythm, electrolyte imbalance, tremors and weakness, a fast heart rate and heart palpitations, severe muscle breakdown, and uncontrolled movements.
Clenbuterol has many of the same properties of ephedrine, which has reportedly been responsible for heart problems and deaths; therefore, the likelihood of clenbuterol being made legal in the United States for human use is not promising.
