Difference Between Bromalite & Total Cleanse

Bromalite and Total Cleanse are pills taken to lose weight and flush out toxins. The pills are sold online by various companies and can also be purchased on auction sites from independent sellers. Bromalite and Total Cleanse are legal products, created primarily from herbal ingredients. Total Cleanse pills are intended to clean out the entire body to avoid health problems and eliminate toxic buildup. Bromalite is intended to cleanse only the colon.
  1. Health Claims

    • Both Total Cleanse and Bromalite claim to help users lose weight. Bromalite advertisers say their product boosts energy and flushes out waste. Claims concerning individual ingredients include an increase in digestive health, immunity to sickness and disease, and an increase in metabolism. Total Cleanse makes similar claims about its product. Ads for Total Cleanse mention a strengthened immune system, a reduced risk of stomach-related disorders, and a reduction and flattening of the tummy. It also claims to reduce the chances of heart disease, colon cancer, diabetes and "much more." Total Cleanse includes the following disclaimer in its terms and conditions: "Any statements on this site or any materials or supplements distributed or sold by ead1.total-cleanse.com have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. ... If you are pregnant, nursing, or taking medication we suggest consulting with a physician before using any of our products."

    Ingredients

    • Bromalite and Total Cleanse both claim to include natural ingredients. Total Cleanse describes its "natural base" as having no adverse affects on any body part or organ. The manufacturer claims its "fibrous ingredients" revitalize body processes, and keep the body free of toxins and bacteria accumulations. Bromalite provides a specific list of its ingredients, including acidophilus and bifidobacterum, green tea extract, grape seed extract, mangosteen, ginger root, bromalain (pineapple extract), citrus bioflavinoids and papain. Papain is an enzyme found in unripe papayas that is used as a dietary supplement for digestive problems. Though many of the ingredients may have health benefits, there are no official medical studies involving Bromalite. Green tea and papian are likely the only ingredients intended for weight loss, while the other ingredients are meant to counteract issues such as bloating, high blood pressure, digestion and nausea.

    Reviews

    • Both products received an F rating, the lowest possible, from the Better Business Bureau. However, the Total Cleanse rating was based on one complaint filed with the bureau. There was no response from Total Cleanse concerning the complaint, a factor that lowers a company's rating. The Bromalite rating is based on 352 complaints, 76 of which went unanswered by Bromalite. The Better Business Bureau claims to lack substantial information on both companies, another factor that lowers the rating. Reviews from people claiming use of either product vary. Some users claim they're happy with the results, while others express disappointment with the product and frustration with the companies.

    Cost and Use

    • Health risks may be associated with a product, but cost is often the deciding factor when choosing a product for weight loss and health. Most independent sellers offer Bromalite for $69.95 for a one-month supply. There are free trials requiring only payment for shipping, but many product reviews mention a full charge applied for the trial. When a buyer requests her free sample of Bromalite, she is also automatically enrolled in the Fit Factory program and charged $19.95 per month. The cost of Total Cleanse is listed as $78.84 plus $5.95 shipping. The free trial is offered for 15 days, but includes the shipping and handling time, which some buyers reported was up to 12 days. Requesting a free sample of Total Cleanse enrolls buyers in an automatic monthly shipment program--if the membership isn't canceled, you'll receive a new bottle, for $84.79 each month. Reviewers report both products are difficult to discontinue once you request a free shipment.
