Soba Grapefruit Diet

A grapefruit has so many nutrients and health benefits that it became the focus of a fad diet several years ago. However, eating only grapefruit does not constitute a healthy meal. But adding soba to grapefruit does. Soba noodles are Japanese noodles made from buckwheat flour. They are high in vitamins B1 and B2, protein, and choline, and they can help to decrease cholesterol levels and lower blood pressure, as well as act as an antioxidant.

In addition to vitamins B1 and B2, proteins and minerals, the buckwheat used to make soba noodles contains high levels of rutin and choline, minerals that act as antioxidants and help to lower cholesterol and blood pressure, increase metabolism, and maintain a healthy and regular digestive system.

    Grapefruit and Soba

    • The tartness of a grapefruit contrasts well with the rich flavor of the soba noodle. Try combining the two for a healthy noodle salad topped with grapefruit pieces. Combine bell peppers, radishes, onions, snow peas, and cilantro with cooked soba noodles and half-inch pieces of peeled grapefruit. Top with a spicy peanut sauce for a nutritious and flavorful meal.
