How to Eat for Blood Type A

According to the book "Eat Right 4 Your Type" by Dr. Peter J. D'Adamo, people with different blood types process foods differently. For instance, Dr. D'Adamo found that people with high blood sugar, high blood pressure, or people with high stomach acid share the same blood groups. He also found that blood types O and B have greater susceptibility to infectious diseases like cholera, scarlet fever, and typhoid. "Eat Right 4 Your Type" emphasizes dietary lifestyles Dr. D'Adamo matched to blood groups, on the theory that certain blood types lack the enzymes to process certain types of foods. The A positive (agrarian) blood type group flourishes on primarily a vegetarian diet consisting of protein, soy, vegetables and grains, according to this theory, which is not widely held by the mainstream medical community. As with starting any diet, consult your doctor first.
