How to Detoxify Drinks
Whether you had a few too many drinks, your eating habits have not been quite up to par or you want to feel healthier, wheatgrass is an all-natural detoxifying agent that will give your system the boost you need. Wheatgrass improves digestion, prevents constipation, cleanses the liver and removes toxins from the bloodstream. You don't have to go to a juice bar to get the cleansing effect of wheatgrass; you can detoxify your own drinks at home by adding wheatgrass to the drink of your choice.Things You'll Need
- Wheatgrass powder or juice packets

Choose your drink base. Wheatgrass powder or juice packets can be added to water, juice or milk- or juice-based smoothies.

Read your wheatgrass package to determine the recommended amount to add to your drink, as per the serving size.

Make your drink. If you are adding the powder or juice to one liquid, pour your chosen liquid into a glass, then add the wheatgrass. Stir it with a spoon until the liquid is thoroughly mixed together. If you are making a smoothie, add all your desired ingredients, such as fruit, ice, milk, juice or water, into a blender and then blend together until smooth. Finish by adding the wheatgrass and blend.

Adjust the ratios accordingly. If you are mixing wheatgrass into a single liquid, dilute with more liquid as needed, to taste. When making a smoothie, simply add more water if the mixture is too thick, to taste.

Sweeten your drink. Unflavored wheatgrass is not the most pleasant-tasting substance, especially for those who have not acquired a taste for it. If your drink is too bitter, add a natural sweetener, to taste, such as agave nectar, honey or stevia.
