PH Diet Foods to Eat
The pH Miracle Diet was created by Dr. Robert Young. It is based on the belief that because the body is slightly alkaline, eating high acidity foods creates a pH imbalance. This imbalance can cause sickness, fatigue and a number of conditions. Dr. Young argues that regulating the body's pH balance through diet heals the body and prevents illness. Foods are divided into three categories based on their acidity: foods to enjoy freely, foods to enjoy sparingly and foods you should never eat.-
Foods To Enjoy Freely
-
Many vegetables are low in acidity and can be enjoyed on the Miracle pH Diet. Brussels sprouts, red cabbage, garlic, peas, cauliflower, lettuce, onions, carrots, turnips and cucumbers can all be enjoyed with no restrictions. Fruits are more restricted, with only limes, lemons, tomatoes and avocados on the list to enjoy freely.
Foods To Eat Sparingly
-
Enjoy fresh-water fish sparingly. Include brown rice and wheat into your diet occasionally. Incorporate walnuts, hazelnuts and macadamia nuts sparingly. Fruits including mandarin oranges, pineapples, mangoes, bananas, watermelon, blueberries, strawberries, cranberries and grapes may be consumed in moderation. Enjoy coconut milk and sunflower oil occasionally.
Foods To Never Eat
-
Foods very high in acid should never be eaten on the Miracle pH diet. Many meats, including pork, chicken, veal and beef should be eliminated. Liver and other organ meats should also be avoided. Saltwater fish should be eliminated. Dairy products like hard cheeses, cream and homogenized milk should not be eaten, and butter and margarine should be removed from the diet. Do not eat sugar, honey or artificial sweeteners, and avoid chocolate. Pistachios, peanuts and cashews should also be eliminated. Refrain from using condiments such as ketchup, mayonnaise or soy sauce. Do not consume white bread or whole grain bread, and do not drink black tea, wine, coffee, beer or fruit juices.
