Skip carbonated beverages or other sugar-filled drinks such as coffee with cream and sugar. Substitute your morning coffee with plain tea, and drink water or low-fat milk as a replacement for carbonated drinks.

Exercise regularly to burn more calories. If you find it hard to keep your diet below 2,500 calories, exercise to burn additional calories and keep you within your weight and calorie goals.
