How to Neutralize Yeast

1
Cut all white sugar containing food out of your diet. According to Robert Young, in an article published by the Consumer Health Organization of Canada, sugar quickly becomes a food for yeast. Eating sugary foods promotes the growth of yeast by feeding its fermentation process, which causes the toxins to be released into your blood stream.

2
Stop eating acid-forming foods. When the pH balance of the blood becomes too low, or acidic, yeast and bacteria thrive. Certain foods, like grains, legumes and red meats cause acidic conditions to form by lowering the pH balance of the blood. Alcohol and alcoholic beverages also increase acidity in the blood.

3
Eat more alkaline forming foods. Alkaline forming foods help stabilize the body's pH balance in the presence of acid forming foods and raise its level to higher, more alkaline states where yeasts are neutralized. Green vegetables, seaweed, most fruits and many spices are alkaline forming, as are foods high in minerals like calcium and magnesium.

4
Eat yogurt or probiotic supplements. The live cultures in fermented dairy products actively fight against and neutralize many yeasts that are pathogenic to the human body. A study published in the journal Clinical Infectious Diseases found that infants given a probiotic found in many yogurt products, reduced the incidence and intensity of infections by candida yeast parasites.
