How Can I Do Weightwatchers Without the Points Calculator?
Now that you've decided to buckle down and lose weight, which weight loss method do you intend to use? Dieters who select Weight Watchers appreciate the option of the Weight Watchers Points System, which allows individuals to plan their meals within a specific points allowance. Under Weight Watchers, each food has a specific number of points. The newest Weight Watchers plan includes an electronic Points Calculator which allows participants to monitor their food intake and regulate their meals according to their allowed points. 1
Ascertain your allocated points under the Weight Watchers program. When you join Weight Watchers your group leader will inform you of the amount of food, measured in "points" that you can eat each day. This point allowance depends on your height and weight. While in the dieting phase of Weight Watchers, your quantity of allotted points allows you to eat nutritious meals while losing weight. After you reach your goal, Weight Watchers reevaluates your point allowance to a "maintenance level."

2
Obtain an updated copy of the Weight Watchers Pocket Guide. The guide provides a detailed list of each food, its estimated weight and the number of points that Weight Watchers assigns to the food. Weight Watchers makes the calculation based on the food's nutritional value, whether the food is a protein or carbohydrate and the amount of fat that the food contains. When you join Weight Watchers, the program provides you with a copy of the Pocket Guide.

Make a table on a piece of paper with two columns. In the first column, list each and every food that you eat during the day. In the second column, note each food's point amount. List everything that you eat and drink. Even your coffee's milk has points.
-
4
Consult your list throughout the day as you decide what you want to eat. Divide your daily points so that you use roughly one third in the morning, one third in the afternoon and one third in the evening.
-
5
Keep a running tally of the amount of points that you consumed throughout your day. This will allow you to estimate the number of points that you have left at any time during the day. If you don't remember how many points you have left, consult your list.
-
6
Allow yourself an extra 49 points every week for treats and "extras." The Weight Watchers points system gives 49 "free" points to each participant. You can use those extra 49 points in any way that you want throughout the week.
