Can you eat meat during Lent if are breastfeeding?
According to the Roman Catholic Church, pregnant or breastfeeding women are exempt from the obligation to abstain from meat on Fridays during Lent. This dispensation extends to women throughout their pregnancy and breastfeeding period, and they may eat meat during this time. The Church recognizes the importance of a nutritious diet for both mothers and infants or young children, and the Church does not wish to impose an undue burden on nursing women.
