Reduce your intake of yeast and milk gradually, which will make sticking to your new diet much easier. Many bread products, such as cakes, biscuits and pizza contain yeast, so taking these foods out of one meal each day, and subsequently decreasing your intake of these foods will help to reduce the cravings. Gradually reduce your intake of cheese, which contains milk, and check the labels on baked goods.

Use milk substitutes to eliminate milk from your diet. Soy milk, as well as milk made from almonds, cashews and hemp nuts, can be used for cereal, baking or drinking. Check with a doctor to ensure that you are not allergic to these substances. Some milk substitutes contain malt, which is a form of yeast, and should be avoided. Some cheese substitutes contain these ingredients, as well. Your doctor may also recommend no longer taking supplemental brewer's yeast or nutritional yeast.

Ask your doctor about Nystatin, which is a medication that kills excess yeast in the body. This medicine may also help to take away the craving for yeast-containing foods. You may be able to take lactase supplements, which is the sugar in milk that aids in digestion, or you could drink lactose-free milk while making the transition to a milk-free diet.
