Instructions

    • 1

Cut a rectangular 4-inch by 8-inch strip of fabric from an old T-shirt.

    • 2

Spread the rectangular strip out. Make it lay vertically, so that it's longer than it is wide.

    • 3

Squeeze a line of glue along the sides of the rectangle.

    • 4

Fold the rectangle from the bottom up, matching the edges evenly and pressing them together firmly. Make sure the pouch dries for about 10 minutes. Make sure the bottom and top edges of the rectangle aren't glued so it creates an open-top pouch once the sides are adhered.

    • 5

Apply a dot of glue to the back of each velcro strip. Apply each strip to the inner edges of the opened end of the pouch. Make sure they face each other.

    • 6

Cover the outer surface of the fabric with fabric glue.

    • 7

Cover the surface of the fabric with candy wrappers. Layer several of the wrappers over the fabric, allowing them to overlap other candy wrappers. For this pouch you will need up to 30 small candy wrappers. Let it dry for about an hour before using as a fashionable and eco-friendly coin purse.
