What is a pyloric cecum?

In anatomy, the pyloric cecum (from Greek pylōros "gatekeeper", and caecum "blind"), also known as a gastrocecal ligament or gastrocolic ligament, is a tubular prolongation of the stomach just before the pyloric valve. It encloses the right gastro-epiploic vessels, which run from the right gastro-omental artery to the right gastro-omental vein.
