How to Cleanse With Sea Salt

A sea salt cleanse can be carried out in several different ways. Typically, one cleanses every night for a week or more to purge build-up in the intestines. Sea salt is known to remove toxins from the body and when done regularly, sea salt cleanses can help get rid of colds, lower blood pressure and aid in weight loss.

Instructions

    • 1

Set aside a few hours of your day where you will not be busy, as the cleanse will cause you to use the bathroom regularly. The bowels are most receptive to change in the early morning, between 5 and 7 a.m., so if these hours are free for you, they are ideal. If not, setting aside a few hours in the evening is fine.

    • 2

Boil 2 qt. of water to tea-drinking temperature.

    • 3

Add 1 level tsp. of sea salt to the water. Stir the mixture.

    • 4

Drink the mixture slowly. It typically takes 30 to 45 minutes to finish the mixture.

    • 5

Let the cleanse run its course. Most often, cleansers take their first trip to the bathroom within an hour after finishing the cleanse. The specific results will vary from person to person.

    • 6

Perform this ritual each day until you feel the desired effects: lightness, increased energy and appetite. This typically takes about five days of cleanses.
