1
Consult your doctor about your decision to undergo the Lemonade Cleanse. Calories are extremely restricted and you should be under the supervision of a physician. Choose a convenient time to do the cleanse, as it is necessary to be close to a bathroom at all times.
-
2
Drink a cup of laxative tea the night before you are going to start the cleanse.
-
3
Flush your body with salt water in the morning. Mix 2 teaspoons of non-iodized salt into a quart of water until it is dissolved and drink the entirety of it. The water can be warm if desired.
-
4
Drink six-to-12 glasses of the lemonade concoction throughout the course of the day. Make this drink by combining 10 ounces of water with two tablespoons of maple syrup, two tablespoons of fresh lemon juice and 1/10 of a teaspoon of the cayenne pepper.
-
5
Drink a cup of the laxative tea in the evening. You can consume as much plain water as you like in addition to the salt water, lemonade drink and laxative tea.
-
6
Repeat steps three to five daily for as long as you are doing the Lemonade Cleanse. While you can do as little as four days, ten days is the average amount of time.
-
7
Break your fast gently. Eat raw vegetables and fruits for several days before incorporating other foods back into your diet.
