Anti-Parasite Diet
Dr. Terry Willard, a leading clinical herbalist, estimates that more than 50% of his patients have a parasite infection. Parasites are organisms that live off of the life force of other organisms. The most common parasites are worms and protozoa (single-celled organisms). Help yourself by eating an anti-parasite diet. Eating certain foods and avoiding others is key to living a parasite-free life.-
Meats
-
Eating meats that aren't cooked properly can cause a parasite infection. If you can replace the meat protein in your diet with other protein sources, you are more likely to prevent an infection. Try getting protein from nuts, seeds, legumes, soy, eggs and tofu instead of meat.
When you eat meats, try to freeze them for 24 to 48 hours before cooking. This, along with cooking to the proper temperatures, helps kill parasites.
Fruits and Vegetables
-
Eat a diet high in fruits and vegetables, especially fresh ones instead of canned. Make sure to properly wash food before you eat it. Fruits and vegetables not only help you avoid parasites, but they also help your body function properly and may even help rid you of parasites.
Some anti-parasite foods are onions, garlic, pumpkin seeds and cloves. Papayas and pineapples are also great at helping detoxify the body and getting rid of parasites that may be lurking in your intestines.
Eat a diet rich in vibrantly colored fruits and vegetables for the best results, along with whole grains and non-refined foods as much as possible. Avoid sugar and foods that provide little nutritional value. These foods don't add anything to your diet and may actually feed parasites. It's best to avoid fast food and high-fat foods, too.
Supplements
-
Add anti-parasite supplements to your diet. Some of the best are are grapefruit seed extract, male fern root, black walnut extract and clove. These turn your body into a hostile environment for parasites.
