Natural Body Cleansers

Detoxifying is becoming one of the most common procedures recommended by natural health practitioners. More then 50 percent of the immune system is located around your digestive system. Without a cleanse, the toxins will not be removed, possibly leading to constipation, irritable bowel syndrome or weight gain, just to name a few. There are many ways to do a natural body cleanse that will remove impurities and make you feel better.
  1. Raw Fruits and Vegetables

    • To begin a natural body cleanse, eliminate all cooked and processed foods. This leaves you with a diet rich in raw fruits and vegetables. The key to a body cleanse is eliminating foods that allow toxins to build up in your body, so that the foods you eat are completely digested and used.

Don't quit after 1 or 2 weeks. It took many years to build up toxins, so allow 1 to 6 months to cleanse your body.

    Herbal Colon Cleansing

    • To help the natural body cleanse process work faster, add herbal supplements that will assist in the process. Take herbs that kill parasites and that contain probiotics and digestive enzymes. Also take herbs that stimulate the liver and gall bladder.

Herbal supplements are key to any natural body cleansing procedure. Speak to a nutritionist about the right herbal supplements for you.

    Bentonite Clay and Flaxseed

    • Bentonite is an edible clay that acts as a laxative, binding toxins to it and carrying them out of the body. Flaxseeds are much the same in that they help remove the toxins and impurities from your body. Flaxseed oil also helps lower cholesterol levels.

Mix 1 tbsp. of liquid bentonite (instead of the clay) and 1 tbsp. of ground flaxseed in a glass of water. Drink it in the morning and at night before you go to bed. Make sure you drink 8 glasses of plain water a day as well.
