Drink orange juice. After many days of nothing but water, orange juice will be a real treat. For the first day after the cleanse, eat no solid foods at all, but drink up to eight 8-oz. glasses of orange juice throughout the day. If at first the juice is too thick or sweet, it can be thinned with water. Drink slowly.

Sip vegetable broth. On the second day, after an orange juice breakfast, you can have vegetable soup for lunch and dinner. Ideally, make the soup yourself from fresh organic vegetables. Avoid powdered bouillon cubes or canned soups, because they're very high in salt. Cook the vegetables in the broth until they're very soft. On your first time eating the soup, focus mostly on the broth, sipping it gently. For dinner, eat a few more of the vegetables slowly, chewing completely.

Work in raw fruits and vegetables. By day three, you're ready to add raw fruits and vegetables to your diet. Have your orange juice for breakfast, and at lunch, instead of soup eat some raw carrots and broccoli, or apples and grapes. For dinner, have a small salad, but avoid meat, bread or dairy products. Coffee, milk and tea should also be avoided. Follow the same idea for day four, but vary the fruits and vegetables if you desire.

On day five, you're ready to eat normally again. But after the experience of the Master Cleanse, you probably will not want to rush right back to your old habits. Day five is the first day of the rest of your life, when you take the first steps on a lifelong journey of healthy, enlightened eating. You might wish to remain on a vegetarian diet, to include more raw foods in your diet or just to eat less overall.
