Difference Between NutriSystem Advance & Nourish

NutriSystem sells pre-packaged meals dieters can purchase. The meals do not require refrigeration and include breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert and snacks. Meals can be tailored to specific needs, such as those of seniors, vegetarians or diabetics.
  1. NutriSystem Nourish

    • Part of following the Nourish plan is reading the book "NutriSystem Nourish: The Revolutionary New Weight Loss Program." The book outlines the meal plan, exercise program and motivational tools. Dieters may follow the meal plan in the book, purchase the NutriSystem Nourish pre-packaged meals or combine the meal plan and NutriSystem meals. Participants can expect to lose between one and two pounds per week.

    NutriSystem Advanced

    • The NutriSystem Advanced program adds omega-3 fatty acids and natural fiber to the original program. The omega-3 fatty acids promote heart health, and the fiber helps participants feel fuller longer. Participants in the meal plan eat only NutriSystem meals and do not incorporate other meals into their diet. About one to two pounds of weight loss per week can be expected with this diet.

    Differences

    • The biggest difference between the two plans is flexibility. With the Nourish plan, participants can prepare healthy meals themselves. This is a good plan for anyone who is committed to a lifestyle change and is disciplined enough to make healthy choices. The Advanced plan involves only pre-packaged meals and does not include a guide for preparing meals or dining out.
