A nutritionist plays an important role in society, ensuring that everyone remains healthy by getting adequate vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. Universities that offer programs in nutrition, also called dietetics, often offer undergraduate, graduate and internship programs. These programs give students exposure to the field of nutrition, facilitate face-to-face interaction with established nutritionalists and also prepare students for the registered dietitian exam.
