What Vitamins Are in Broccoli?
Broccoli comes from the Brassicaceae family of vegetables, also called the crucifers. That family also includes the cabbage, turnip, horseradish, cauliflower and others. Besides being a good source of fiber, broccoli contains glucoraphanin, which scientists process into sulforaphane, an anti-cancer compound. The benefits of this are greatest in raw broccoli.
