Examples of Protein Foods
To understand the importance of consuming enough protein each day, you need to understand the process of catabolism and anabolism. Gary Null explains the importance of protein in more detail in his book "The Complete Guide to Health and Nutrition". During the process of catabolism and anabolism, the body's cells are broken down and repaired. They use protein as their building block, and it is during this time the amino acids in the cells need to be replaced. Without protein, cells would die. Knowing which foods are protein foods can help you incorporate protein foods in your diet.-
