How to Cut Out Fat at Starbucks

1
Stay away from the cream. Starbucks makes its own heavy whipped cream. Cutting out the cream is the quickest way to cut out the fat.

2
Opt for skim milk. Some soy options actually pack more calories than the regular milk found in your standard drink. When in doubt, ask. Baristas are up on all kinds of variations to drinks.
-
3
Order low-fat or skinny. If you're still unsure, request the low-fat version of your favorite drink. The baristas will handle the rest.
-
4
Skip the venti. It's easy to start ordering the largest size on a daily basis, but you'll cut hundreds of calories by just opting for a grande or tall.
-
5
Try a Vivanno smoothie. These smoothies, in orange mango banana and chocolate banana, pack some calories but not empty ones of the kind you get with your mocha or latte. They contain plenty of whey protein and fiber and are a filling and healthy meal replacement.

6
Choose green tea. If you want something sweet, tasty and low-fat, try an iced green tea or a green tea frappuccino (if you can get over the thick, green appearance). For additional sweetness, add a little raspberry flavoring.

7
Watch your treats. If you must have a snack with your coffee, opt for a berry stella or another whole grain, berry treat. If your favorite store has the option, go for the fruit and/or cheese plate or yogurt parfait. Some of the worst treats for your waistline are croissants, brownies and toffee almond bars, some high-fat muffins and doughnuts.
