How to Eat Right on Your Wedding Day

You may not think of it initially, but eating is one of the most important aspects of your wedding day. It's easy to let it slip your mind with everything else that you are dealing with (although you have parents, siblings, in-laws and friends that will remind you every 10 minutes). Make sure it's a preparation you don't overlook. These meal and snack ideas will ensure that you will be energized and alert on this special day; don't run the risk of fainting or spilling because you didn't think about this beforehand. You have more important things to worry about!

Instructions

    • 1

Start your day with a bowl of mixed fruit salad, including papaya for healing, and watermelon and cantaloupe for debloating.

    • 2

Prepare some grilled white fish and enjoy along with cucumber salad (which is a good diuretic) and brown rice or a cup of vegetable soup for the high fiber. Add a half turkey sandwich for some more protein at lunchtime.

    • 3

Take fruits, nuts and other snacks in plastic containers along with you. Whole grain bread with nut butter is filling and portable. Throw in a Greens or Clif energy bar to carry you until the event.
