How to Gain Weight on a Student Budget
The "Freshman 15" is not fictional; it's easy to gain weight on a student budget. You simply need to go to a lot of parties, overeat whenever food is offered and make fast-food dollar menus your dinners of choice. Working out can help turn some of those extra pounds into muscle which also equals extra weight.Instructions

1
Drink the beer at any party where there's free alcohol. All those calories will put weight on your frame quickly. Be careful, though, of the 2 a.m. munchies. If you're on a tight budget, make sure you've got something to satisfy your hunger late at night, when you may feel ravenous.

2
Order off the dollar menu at any fast-food restaurant. Fast food is loaded with condiments, grease and extra calories that will pack weight on you within weeks. For about $3, you can satisfy your hunger and may take in enough food for the entire day.
-
3
Snack whenever food and candy are available. Most snacks are laden with corn syrup, which is bad for your health but great for weight gain. When others are done with their meals, ask if you can finish the food.

Work out at least three times a week. Working out turns all the extra calories into muscle, if you go about it correctly. Focus on lifting weights and minimize the cardio. Since muscle weighs more than fat, you'll add weight.
