Add more raw vegetables to your diet. Vegetarians and vegans can increase glutamine levels by eating raw spinach, cabbage and parsley.

Consume oats and wheat germ. Both contain high quantities of glutamine.

Take a commercially available l-glutamine supplement. Vitamin, health-food and bodybuilding stores sell glutamine supplements in powder, tablet and liquid forms. Do not add the powder to hot beverages because the heat will destroy the glutamine.
