How to Increase Cell Division
Cell division is the process of a large cell splitting itself into two smaller cells, achieving organism growth. Mitosis is the normal process of cell divison that occurs due to cellular growth. During mitosis, a cell splits the chromosomes in its nucleus into two sets of matching nuclei. In single-celled organisms, the process of mitosis creates another organism. In multicellular organisms, mitosis is used for development, tissue repair and growth.Things You'll Need

1
Establish a controlled environment. This is the first thing you will need to do in order to ensure a successful increase in the process of mitosis. You do this by establishing clear perimeters where your cells will live, and throughly cleaning it from potentially disrupting elements which could otherwise be present within the perimeters.

2
Insert your living cells into the petri dish. Do so by carefully transporting your cells from their previous habitat into the new one. You need be careful not to cause harm to these cells, so as not to impact their ability to grow and divide in turn.
-
3
Provide nutrition, as it's a critical element in the project. This is because the rate of cell division, mitosis, depends on the growth of cells. A cell does not divide unless it is big enough to do so, and to make it big it needs to have access to nutrition to fuel its growth. An effective way of providing nutrition is to put it, in small bits, close to your cells so that they can utilize it. Having done this correctly, you cells will be able to metabolize their newly digested nutrition and grow and divide accordingly.

4
Watch and record the growth of your cells. If you have followed the previous steps correctly, you will see an upturn in the rate of cell division. If you do not see this upturn, it means that you have not followed one of the previous steps correctly. If so, backtrack, try to identify the mistake and rectify it.
