How to Get Fat & Keep it

Roughly 64 percent of Americans over the age of 20 are overweight or obese, according to "Forbes Magazine." Additionally, about 400,000 Americans die each year from factors related to obesity, such as inadequate nutrition and inactivity. Eating healthy and losing weight takes work. If you would rather stay overweight, ignore all the nutrition advice you've ever heard, throw your self-control out the door and start eating. To keep the weight on, simply maintain a sedentary lifestyle and eat as much food as you can.

Avoid exercise. Exercise makes you burn calories, and you need to ingest more calories than you burn to get fat and keep the weight on. Ride the elevator instead of taking the stairs and drive your car even short distances.

    • 2

Eat large quantities of junk food. Skip the apples and other healthy foods in favor of doughnuts, candy bars and chips. These fatty foods have tons of calories that will help you get fat.

    • 3

Load on the condiments. Spread thick layers of mayonnaise on your sandwiches, scoop gobs of cheese on your nachos and weigh down your bread with butter. Condiments are high in calories and will make you gain weight.

    • 4

Drink sugary soft drinks instead of water. Water has no calories, so drink beverages with calories to get fat. Other beverage options include sports drinks, fruit punch, sweetened iced tea and alcohol.

    • 5

Eat mostly processed foods. Processed foods may have less nutritional value than fruits and vegetables because they're full of sugar and refined carbohydrates. Since processed food doesn't give your body the nutrients it needs, you still feel hungry after eating. Eating processed foods will allow you to ingest more calories, which helps you gain weight and maintain it.
