Lemon Juice

Lemon juice is a natural way to increase the pH levels in your drinking water. Add 4 tbsp. of lemon juice to a liter of water and enjoy. Lemons will give a little zing to your water as well as increase the pH. Use fresh-squeezed lemon juice for best results.
Baking Soda

Add 1/4 tsp. of baking soda to a liter of water to increase its pH. Always make sure it is listed as "sodium bicarbonate" on the label. Baking soda is also known as "sodium bicarb," "bicarb soda" or simply "bicarb." It is another natural way to increase the pH level of your water, as well as a less expensive method.

A water filter can be pricey if installed on your faucet or attached to your fridge dispenser, but water pitchers with filters are relatively inexpensive and easily replaceable. These filters help remove items from your drinking water that can lower pH levels, such as chlorine. Drinking water pitchers with filters can be found at many local grocery stores, drug stores and department stores. Two popular brands are Brita and Pur.
