The Best Way to Alkalize
The body has what is known as a pH level. A basic or alkaline pH is 7 to 14 and an acidic pH is 0 to 6.9. Ideally, body pH should be within the range of 7.35 and 7.45. An acidic pH produces number of symptoms such as continuous mucous, joint pains, rashes, joint stiffness, fatigue and skin sensitivity (See Reference 1). The best way to alkalize your body revolves around dietary adjustments.Instructions

1
Eliminate fast and processed food from your diet when dining out. Foods such as burgers, fries, wings, deep fried onions, sausage, ham, bacon and breaded chicken are high in acidity. Order foods that are as close to their natural state as possible with the least amount of processing. Avoid dressing, butter, cheese and sour cream as well.

2
Eat healthier fruits and vegetables. Consume varieties that are highest in alkalinity such as baby spinach, asparagus, celery, cucumbers, avocados, apples, lemons, limes, sprouts, sea vegetables and fresh coconut. Include at least some of these foods in every meal you eat (See Reference 2). Aim to make these foods the base of your diet.

3
Reduce your intake of acid-forming beverages. Beer, wine, soda, fruit punch, milk, sweetened tea, slushies and coffee are all highly acidic. Eliminate your intake of these beverages and drink water. Water not only helps with alkalinity, but it also helps flush impurities from your system.

4
Stop eating sweets, processed carbohydrates and artificial sugars. Candy bars, hard candies, doughnuts, cookies, pastries, white bread, white rice, refined cereals, cakes and diet products with artificial sweeteners are all high in acidity.

Drink a greens formula one or two times a day in between meals. Greens drinks contain a number of alkalizing agents like barley grass, wheat grass, spirulina, chlorella, spinach powder and alfalfa leaf. Mix the greens powder in a glass with a spoon or use a shaker cup with a screw-on lid.
