How to Gain Weight With an Organic Diet for Women

Women who have a Body Mass Index below 18.5 may wish to speak with their health care professional about gaining weight. Low weight, according to the Washington State Department of Health and Human Services, puts women at a high risk for anemia and nutrient deficiencies, bone loss and osteoporosis, amenorrhia and delayed wound healing. When choosing to gain weight, under the supervision of a registered dietitian, nutritionist or doctor, an organic diet may be a healthier choice for both your body and the environment.
