Lemons have an alkaline effect on the body. Foods that are moderately alkaline include apples, lemons, beetroot, tomatoes, hazelnuts, apricots, bananas, grapes, oranges, peaches, pears, mango, kiwi, strawberries, watermelon, green beans, soybeans, brown sugar, herbs and all other green vegetables.
Neutral Foods

Coffee has neutral acidity when no milk is added to it. Foods that have neutral acidity include chocolate, milk, curd cheese, whey, kefir cheese, yogurt, egg whites, white sugar, asparagus, bell peppers, garlic, broccoli, sunflower seeds, margarine, green tea, coffee, honey, tofu, olive oil and sunflower seeds oil.
Moderately Acidic Foods

Breads and grains are moderately acidic. Moderately acidic foods include almonds, walnuts, pasta, wheat, barley, white rice, corn, rye, bread, lentils, peas, chicken, duck, pork, rump steak and lamb.
Highly Acidic Foods

Fish, meat and poultry are some of the most acidic foods in our diet. High acidic foods include beef, goose, turkey, liver, veal, salami, rabbit, eel, halibut, herring, prawns, mussels, sardines, rosefish, salmon, peanuts, pistachios, oats, brown rice, cheese, butter and egg yolks.
