How to Raise Your Rate of Metabolism
There are several ways to raise your rate of metabolism. One powerful method is through the use of thermogenic foods, in which you can raise your metabolism just by eating. The term "thermogenic foods" applies to foods that cause heat in your body, which makes it burn more calories to cool you down. Foods such as peppers, cinnamon, ginger and other spicy foods are considered thermogenic. Combining these with a daily exercise routine can be your key to weight loss. Exercises that work more than one muscle group, known as compound exercise, will be the most effective. Keep in mind that you should consult your physician before engaging in any diet or exercise routine. Below you will find a thermogenic food recipe from allrecipes.com and a simple way to do beginner squats, an exercise that will boost your metabolism by working the quadriceps, glutes, hamstrings and lower back to help keep the weight off.
