Listing of Foods High in Lysine
Lysine is an essential amino acid that the body is unable to produce and must be procured from food. According to the University of Maryland Medical Center, lysine, one of the building blocks of protein, promotes proper growth, aids in the production of carnitine, and helps the body absorb calcium and form collagen. Foods rich in protein are often the best sources of lysine.-
