Scrambled eggs are rich in protein, omega-3 fats and other vitamins. Scramble eggs in a pan and add shredded cheddar cheese on top and cook for two more minutes so the cheese melts. The cheese adds more flavor to the eggs. Cook turkey bacon with this meal instead of pork because turkey bacon is much leaner. Serve with a healthy beverage such as green tea or fresh-squeezed orange juice. Avoid buying bottled juice because sugar is usually added to processed juice. Fresh-squeezed juice from oranges is the healthiest option.
Blueberry Smoothies

Blueberries are also rich in fiber. Make a blueberry smoothie to fuel your child's brain for the day ahead. Blueberries are loaded with antioxidants such as vitamins C and A that feed your child's brain. Add 1/2 cup of pure water to your blender and 2 cups of blueberries. Then add in 4 ice cubes and 2 bananas. Blend on high for 10 seconds. Pour the mixture into cups and place a handful of whole blueberries on top. This recipe feeds two children.

Raw honey is best because it contains more enzymes and nutrients than processed honey. Green smoothies contain kale and other greens along with fruits to add flavor. Dark leafy greens are rich in minerals such as calcium and magnesium and fruits are high in antioxidants such as vitamins A, C and D. Pour 1/2 cup of pure water into your blender and then add 4 skinned kiwis into the blender. Add one handful of kale or other dark leafy greens. Then add 2 bananas and 2 tbsp. of raw honey to disguise the flavor of the greens. This recipe serves two children.

Most kids love fruit because it's naturally sweet. Chop up strawberries and orange and green honeydew melons. Give each child one or two bowls along with a healthy beverage. This is a simple nutrient-dense meal that kids enjoy.

Bran is loaded with fiber and minerals that are beneficial for growing children. Buy a box of bran pancakes and add follow the instructions on the box. Add 1 cup of fresh blueberries to each cup of bran mix as you stir the batter. The blueberries will help disguise the taste of bran. One cup of bran pancake mix usually makes 3 or 4 pancakes depending on the size.
