How to Freeze Fish Oil
Many consider fish oil to be a part of a healthy diet as it helps to reduce inflammation and contains Omega-3 fatty acids as well as docosahexaenoic acid and eicosapentaenoic acid. Fish oil can be purchased in liquid or capsule forms. Fish oil can turn rancid if left for too long. In order to stave off spoiling you can freeze your fish oil. When you freeze your fish oil, it will have a shelf life of one year.Things You'll Need

1
Put your fish oil into your freezer-safe container. Sandwich bags and plastic bowls will work well. Some brands of fish oil come in freezer-safe containers.
-
2
Keep your freezer at its normal setting. Fish oil does not need to be treated differently than anything else in your freezer.
-
3
Allow the fish oil to freeze. This will take a few hours. The fish oil will not freeze completely. But it will become hard and appear somewhat hazy. If the fish oil freezes completely, then it does not contain enough Omega-3 fatty acids.
-
4
Remove the fish oil when you are ready to take it. You can remove a fish oil capsule daily, but don't thaw all of them. Simply take out one at a time. If you are using fish oil liquid, thaw all at once. The fish oil has a lifespan of one year when kept frozen.
