How to Measure Without Utensils
Instructions
-
-
1
Measure one teaspoon by comparing it to the size of your thumb tip or a single die.
-
2
Equate 1 tablespoon to the size of a walnut. Two tablespoonfuls are about the size of a golf ball.
-
3
Calculate one cup by comparing it to an average-sized woman's closed fist. It is also about the size of a computer mouse. Half a cup is equal to an ice cream scoop.
-
4
Equate an ounce of solid food (cheese, for example) to roughly the size of a thumb. One ounce is also equal to the weight of three dice. A 2 oz. serving of cheese weighs about as much as three dominoes or a lipstick. A 3 oz. portion of meat or poultry is comparable in size to a deck of playing cards or a small bar of soap.
