Facts on Nutrition and Exercise

Nutrition and exercise work hand in hand when it comes to losing weight, improving your health and having more energy. Healthy food choices and decisions, as well as staying active and fit, will mean a lifestyle change for the better in so many areas of your life.
  1. A Balanced Diet

    • Improving your nutrition is not just about eliminating foods and eating less, it also about having a well-balanced diet to support your body and mind. Eating enough fruits and vegetables, as well as grains, dairy and meats is important. Lowering fats, sugars and sodium from your diet is good; however, your body does need some of these things every day to keep going. When you eat well-rounded meals and snacks, you will see greater improvements both physically and mentally.

    Exercise Your Whole Body

    • Exercise is extremely important; however, often, people try to spot reduce. This does not necessarily work; you need to work your whole body. When your whole body is in top physical condition, it works together to lose weight. As you exercise, you will increase your energy and working out will become easier.

    Do Not Starve Your Body

    • When exercising and eating right, it can become easy to starve your body of essential vitamins and minerals that it needs. Eliminating too many foods or not eating enough will mean not having the energy to work out. Also, your body will not have what it needs to repair itself after a workout. If you cannot get all your vitamins from foods, take supplements to make sure your body is replenished of nutrients lost through workouts and everyday activities.

    Exercise Daily For More Energy

    • Exercise gives you more energy; after a workout, you feel better and your body feels energized. Low energy and feelings of being drained and tired is your body wanting to get moving. Just 15 to 30 minutes will give you the boost you need to clear your mind and get your heart and blood pumping.

    Healthy Eating

    • A well-balanced diet will not only make you feel better physically, but you will feel better mentally as well. When your body is receiving the nutrients it needs and your body is balanced, this improves your mind as well. Eliminating unhealthy food choices from your diet and foods that are empty energy, leaves room for your body to absorb the vitamins and minerals that it needs and wants.
